Class Critique by Weezilou

Class Critique

On the advice of TaffyR @taffy I toned down the high yellow in the pool using Select/Color Range and adjusting that under Image/Adjustments/Selective Color. This "Duck by the Pool" was my 3rd or 4th attempt to adjust an image from the lot I took for practice in the yard. Nothing special about the photo but to practice. I may hate this someday, but I hope to learn along the way.

I had an art teacher who once said she'd like to someday teach a class that worked on the same image for the full class year. I truly understand how you could learn from a lesson taught in that manner...

(I added pat-tex to the tag as this photo is on overload...not my original intention...but if you can't change it, feature it!)
Awesome shot

I do think this helps! What fun that you are learning this! Just hang in there and keep playing with things -- water is hard to do, I find. Try a building or other architectural type of thing (or even a flower) if you get a chance. Those are way easier than what you've tackled here!

Nice version, the colors are still nice and rich

Here is Aaron, the one I referred to in your other post. @grizzlysghost. He does some awesome things with his camera.

@digitalrn Thank you for the link Rick! His first photo I saw of the evergreen is exquisite! Will follow and learn what I can! (There just aren't enough hours in a day to do all this and live life, too!)

@dgrynn You're too kind ;) "Frenetic" comes to mind now that I've lived and worked with it over 24 hours! But I'm on a learning curve and am getting a lot of helpful information. Thanks for taking the time, Deb!
