These fur & feathered kids have made our stay in California a daily delight! Sadly, we've said our last good-bye to Jack-the-Canary and Spooki, the grey kitty. Since then, his companions have been going off, only to return every couple of days... Pink's mother, Dusty, was at the door waiting for breakfast, so I had a chance to say good-bye. The orange kitty is a new-comer (with a collar...) and the one we call "Pinto" was always run off by the others. Now with more free reign, he's inhaled an entire can of food! I'm hoping to see him grow fat over the summer... Frosty (left) and her b/f, "Squirrel Nutkin" (rt) dropped in, as did Mama & Papa Duck and a shy-but-flirty hummingbird... They're all in good hands with our friend, Tracy who'll send updates... I'm not sad to leave...it's just a transition...
(These were all taken on this date so I could show Tracy who's coming around... Not seen are abut 12 doves and 50 finches!...all with hearty appetites!)
Oh, my God, they are all amazing!! You have quite a menagerie there, and I am sure they all adore the hand that feeds them!! I am certain that you have similar "friends" waiting for you where you are heading! St. Francis must be smiling.... :-))
@hbdaly@panthora@stray_shooter@chard@jamibann@dgrynn@golftragic Holly, "the other Lunenburg"...do you know the one in MA? You've been along before...Richard, too...fun to have you back along!
Osia, you're such a gem! Yes, the CA crew is left in good, caring hands (as we'd have it no other way!) and wait til you see "who" gathers in the coming months! In 12 summers, we've never been without fur friends...both tame and wild! Ron, Issi, Deb and Marnie, thanks for the well-wishes and kind words... Tracy reports that all pictures, plus a couple others, have been by since we've been away. I wouldn't be surprised to have another cat by the time we return...Tracy feeds everyone and welcomes strangers...even names them if necessary! The orange kitty with the collar is quite obviously a well-loved pet, but everyone's welcome to visit! (Can't wait to have more time to visit with you all when we're settled! See you again soon!) xo
@Weezilou Louise, I live in the one in MA. That's how I started following you all those years ago because of your great shots of the beautiful town with the same name.... It is on my list of places to go. I'll be sure to look you up when I get there! ;)
