Waxing Crescent by Weezilou

Waxing Crescent

The moon rose and set within a matter of hours. From our back deck balcony at an inn in New Brunswick, I photographed it's pastel beauty alongside peach colored clouds at sunset. Even before we left for dinner, the color left the sky and the moon was descending with enough speed that my three bracketed shots would no longer fit together. I selected this as I liked the effect of the entire moon still showing its face.
brillant with the silhouettes

Wonderful... Great crescent. I like how it's framed by the tree silhouettes.

Glorious photo Louise, I particularly like the way the whole of the moon is visible though only the crescent is lit.

@golftragic Thanks, Marnie! I was particularly surprised when I saw that...thought it was a bit different and therefore a usable choice!
