So NOT Hummingbirds! by Weezilou

So NOT Hummingbirds!

I have access to this local nest, but I wouldn't want "Mama" anywhere near me! The kids were looking in every direction, wondering what was on the menu for breakfast! (I would have waited to see, but Ken wanted to get underway as our first guests arrive tomorrow. Would you believe we met via 365? There's sure to be a photo and explanation in the next couple of days!)
Oh I just thought Canadian hummingbirds were different.

What intense stares these parents have! Impressive nest they've built, complete with flowering greenery.

@lyndemc Those are "the babies"! You should see the size of "Mom"! And yah, don't you love that little purple flower front and center?!

@allie912 bada boom! I find Canadian hummingbirds to be scarcer... I try to lure them, but up here I don't seem to speak their language!

@joysfocus ("Tags", Joy, "tags"...) No, they're not called tags, they're Osprey, also known as sea Eagles. They dive for large fish and bring them to these "babies"! Very cool to watch!

We take our "hummingbirds" very seriously! Fab shot of these young Osprey. You're very wise not to mess with Momma - her wingspan will reach about six feet, and her talons...! Fab shot!

Wow, those are the babies?!! Damn, I wouldn't want to mess with momma, either!! They look more intense than adorable, which might be a good thing since it might prevent you from trying to hug them!! Can't wait to see photos of your Lunenberg meetups with other 365ers! You spread joy wherever you go! :-))
