No matter the country we're in, to remember those who selflessly sacrificed for their countries is the right thing to do. Today's ceremony was thoughtful and small-town personal. I don't even recall hearing a person mention the plane as it flew overhead, it came upon us so fast (and so low!) I swung upward and shot...no time to think about it! I was happy with that image (SOOC).
To see so many friends and people we know about town... To know many have lost loved ones over the years... We were one family today, respectfully remembering those no longer amongst us...
Great tribute pic.`s collage. But how much do we learn from it.? We are in war again to day on several places in the world. We can`t sing loud enough : ``all we are saying : give peace a chance.`` (John Lennon )
@boysami Thanks for those kind words! You can see how it was that "just one" didn't represent the whole ceremony. And yes, Hazel, @quietpurplehaze I've never seen a plane (and it was a huge one!) fly at such a low altitude just overhead! I was looking straight up at the belly!
dang! i missed out yesterday on the remembrance ceremonies. but i do agree with one snippet of 'news' i read on the papers yesterday. this young punk rocker attacking the "Christmas" merchants for putting up Christmas wares and stealing the attention from the remembrance celebration. it is important that we honour our soldiers, whether we are pro or anti war.
