"A Fine Example" ...

...of why I continue to be so far behind!

Even as I try to push to a deadline (of catching up while I'm still in good health!) I get sidetracked... see an image ... and I just have to play with it... It's both addictive and satisfying... I know you understand what I'm talking about!

This is my grandson, Bodhi on the day we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, and I confess I'm pleased with the jungle-like background behind him. Of course I couldn't possibly repeat it even if I tried!
You know the saying -- All work and no play. Ya gotta play. Looks like you are enjoying it too from this photo. Are they visiting in NS?? Or are you in Chicago now?

He has a lovely smile for you! I'm fascinated by the whole country of Nova Scotia! Been to Peggy's Cove today and I bet you have too!

What a cute smile - he was obviously enjoying himself. I really like your processing and it's fun to do but, as you say, it can be soooo time consuming!

@aglennc Hi Anita! What a nice place to meet friends and chat! We've been in NS for 5 weeks today!! (WOW, does time move too fast for me!) We spent two weeks in CHicago with the grandkids there; my baby boy is getting so big!

@elatedpixie Thanks; we thought the statue was darling! A prefect placed for a cooperative (thank Heaven!) grandson photo!

@maggiemae Isn't Peggy's Cove beautiful?! We've been coming to NS for 15 years now, so yes, PC is on the stopover list any time we have company visiting! I'm delighted you loved it up here!

Great editing!

All the elements in original capture work well together. Your "playing" has enhanced and made it memorable.

@ethelperry What a *very* thoughtfully worded comment and such a nice thing to say, Ethel! I always love hearing from you! I hope you and Michael have been well. ♥

He has such an adorable smile, and I'll bet he had lots of fun climbing up on that statue! Your background complements your subject perfectly. Time sure does fly by when playing with photos, but your time here was well spent!

@janetb Thank you for that, Janet. I'd love to post process everything I take and then "sit down and make art", but it's not practical! Not living in a vacuum, there's much else to do, but that said, those times, then, are very special! I'm sure most of us understand!

A lovely capture of Bohdi and your "playing" with the shot has only enhanced the scene! Great work! Fav!

Cute as a button!

I see no problem with being side-tracked playing with photos. Quite commendable in fact.
