The butterflies reigned supreme in this enclosure, and, to our delight, did as they pleased! I was taking photos of this lovely girl feeding a butterfly when this happened, and I couldn't have been happier that I caught it in the moment! The moment was brief and I wonder how many people got the picture!
What a fantastic shot! Great, great image. So beautifully in focus and so well composed. I love the expression on her lovely face. I don't think too many people will have got that picture! Well done Louise. Fav.
Outstanding!! It's hard enough to get these guys when they're blue rather than brown. What a bonus!! Her expression just makes in that much more special. You should submit that to their Instagram contest!

@ethelperry Thank you so much, Ethel! Once in Chicago, in a butterfly garden, we were told they'd be attracted to white. I photographed one on a purple shirt & Maria photographed one on my tangerine shirt so clearly it must be because we smell so good! ♥
Fabulous moment and you captured it perfectly! Reminds me of a trip to a butterfly sanctuary where I was frustrated in my efforts to get a blue one with its wings open. Eventually , as we were leaving, a lady tapped me on the shoulder and said, "one was perched on your hat the whole time"!
Wow! Incredible capture, Louise! One of those special times when you get goosebumps thinking everything aligned just perfectly in the universe at that specific moment for you to capture that magical image. Okay, I might be going overboard there but it's definitely a special image . . . and a fav for sure. :-)
