I don't think I'll easily forget this morning - opening the curtains to find 3 inches of snow (yes snow) had fallen and was still falling heavily. I squawked 'Oh my God!' and soon the whole house was in uproar as everyone rushed to windows to rub their eyes in disbelief. Where on earth had this come from? (To see what I'm talking about and not exaggerating about - see pic in extras). The nice BBC weather people had an explanation http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/20199175
Made for a bit more of a chaotic start to the day, trying to breakfast, wash, clear up the house etc before heading back to the school for another workshop - this time with Paul James doing an ensemble workshop. Excellent session, working out an arrangement for a couple of jigs - we then performed them at lunchtime at the beginning of the afternoon's concert/dance - and people danced to us. I hadn't got the hang of all of it by any means, but somehow I didn't feel remotely nervous which was good.
Dave and I then headed off to get an early start to the drive home, aware that the roads would be busy with returning half-term traffic. It was a very uneventful drive though and we were back by 4. Major fireworks going on all over tonight though.
