The fourth week of 30 Days Wild for me so I had several photos to choose from again this week, but I'm going with this ring tailed lemur for my favourite...
I think this was my favorite because it was after sunset, the ocean was like glass and the paddle boarders - when the humpback whale surfaced so close to them, dropped to their knees to watch (but it seemed so serene and respectful). It was another wonderful ending to a wonderful evening.
I was pleased with this one fitted in perfectly to "softly theme" and because this butterfly keeps on flattering around and hardly ever sits long enough to take a decent shot
This is I think the peak of my recent composition and geometry studies. I'll need to learn a lot more to surpass the calm elegance this image tells to me. And I also like it because of how it was captured. Went out to a photo walk with my daughter. After like 2 hours on our way back with limited success I suddenly noticed the tip of this feather. Grabbed it and the only thought was to keep it as it is all the way home. The Sun was setting quickly. I sent my daughter to a piece of white paper to use as background and I looked for the best angle to Sun. All was set up and the tones went dull in the viewfinder. Had to raise the whole setup and the camera to catch the last rays of the Sun. So we did and I took the shot.
I'm torn between 2 images so I am showing them both. They represent the amazing dichotomy of Euharlee Georgia. First is the 129 year old wooden covered bridge and second is the largest coal-fired power plant in North America. They are 3 miles apart in distance but tied together as all the materials to build the power plant were transported over the wooden bridge.
Hard to choose but this one makes me smile. The chicken and I did quite a dance to get this photo.
but this next one... while not the best image... is the one that means the most.
Its been a very hard week but I'll get there like I always do.
