It's that time again! What's your favourite photo over the past week, between 2 - 8 April?

HAS to be this as I got the Number 3 spot this week **BIG GRIN** in fact I had a bumper week for me, and actually loved all my shots. Wait for the crash next week!!
Really hard to pick just one this week, I have 3 that I really love (which makes a change!)
I've gone with this one, as it's my first attempt at a bokeh style shot :o)
This is my favourite from teh week, so much so that I ordered two print sof it, one for us and one for my Dads birthday present. They arrived today and I'm really pleased with them!
I was torn between a couple of different photos, but I chose this one because I felt so fortunate to be able to clearly capture these two pelicans in flight.
Tough choice between this one taken on the 6th or the one of my kids on the 7th but this one overall was harder for me too do so I take a little more pride in it.
I actually like the one I posted today for the feel of it, but I know I can achieve a TECHNICALLY better photo if I give it another go. Bubbles are DIFFICULT. =)
ok so I've had a few personal challenges/themes I've been trying to achieve this week this one is part of our "takes one to know one" Geek Challenge... I had far too much fun creating this!!!
Today ends my first week with my new Nikon D5000 and I can tell you it is tough to pick but I will say this one since it so perfectly showed WHY I wanted to upgrade my camera to begin with. More control makes me happy!
I think this one because it's the first portrait I ever took without my glasses. I think I look weird without my glasses so the fact that I like this picture makes me feel good about myself. (:
This one was actually hard to choose my fav this time around but I chose this one because we took all our girls to OMSI for the afternoon so it was a good day :)

I had one this week land on the top 20 chart but, this one is my persona fav for the week, my Grandma on her 81st b-day.
"True Love" from the 4th was my favorite this week... My attempt at a nod to Warhol turned out just as I had envisioned - and that is always a good feeling.
this was difficult to take, harder to post, and way out of my comfort zone on so many levels - but I went with it because it tells a sad story and makes a statement. . .
Really needs to be viewed large.
I know this isn't the greatest shot but I'm very new to night time photography. I'm pretty excited about it regardless. The moon's location was just too cool not give it a go :)
Was very difficult to choose between my 1st and last photos of the week but have to go w/ my April 2nd post which is technically not just 1 photo but was arranged into 1 to try and capture the magic of opening night at the ballpark.
I had a couple I really liked (first time in a while), but I love the varied expressions here and photographing people/expression/emotion is something I am here to improve.
@stepheesue Oh dear - I can understand why you found this difficult - this is one of the most poignant shots I've seen in a long time - something we probably shouldn't run away from though.
@eliserose781 I've noticed lots of 'hard week' comments - I've struggled too - I think other people see nice shots though. We've just got to keep going till the mojo comes back!
On April 2nd, I posted this picture. I was looking for something to photograph and my eyes caught my vase of daffodils. This is a shot of one of the daffodils.
Mine is 4/5 - The pictures I took of the sun were awesome. I have to admit to a bit of risky behavior, I grabbed the camera while driving on I-635 and just snapped a few shots (NOT looking through the viewfinder!!!). I like the detail of the arc of the dash in the foreground.
I'm a bit behind, just returned from St. Louis and have some shots of the Arch to post that I'm very pleased with, but, as is, this is my fav for last week, from our trip to the Circus!
This one, because I have driven this road many, many Sunday mornings and always wanted to capture the sun coming up in the Flint Hills. I was thrilled to have a beautiful sunrise on my last visit and to have the empty road all to myself that morning.

as it took a lot of effort both pre- and post-processing to get it looking decent. Plus, it's earned me a photoshoot :D
