Can you spend a little bit of time outside or do something for nature every day in June?
Some of you will remember 30 Days Wild and joined me in previous years as I've hosted this here since 30DW began in 2015
It is thanks to @koalagardens that I'm posting this with two whole days notice! I signed up for 30 Days Wild 2022 several weeks ago for the second year running, but would have forgotten to start if off here if I'd not been reminded.
Before 2021 I was a lot more active / involved, sharing the theme well ahead of time and spending a lot of time looking at all the tagged photos and leaving comments. Shortly after 30 Days Wild 2020, I had a baby and now I have very little time for anything and so for the second year I'm here sharing this June theme with no notice, but hopefully some of you will join in with me.
30 Days Wild is organised each year by The Wildlife Trusts in the UK but it's open to all here and you can sign up for a pack even if you're not in the UK and receive it digitally... more information here:
The idea is to get outside every day in June, even it's just to smell the roses or drink a cup of tea outdoors. Other activities relating to nature and eco living count as your daily dose of wild too - birdwatching through the window, watching a wild webcam, reading and learning about nature, joining a nature or conservation charity.
For the first day of June, The Wildlife Trusts are promoting a 'big wild breakfast' - your daily act of wildness being simply to eat your breakfast outdoors.
Whatever you do, take a photo and upload it here with the tag 30DaysWild2022
I'll make an attempt to keep up to date with posting my own 30 Days Wild activities and will check the tag and leave a few comments whenever I can too. Time and memory depending, I shall try to do some kind of round up / share it sort of thread here every so often, perhaps at the end of each week or maybe at 10, 20 and 30 days.
If you need a bit of inspiration, when 30 Days Wild launched in 2015, I put together three blog posts each containing 30 'wild ideas' to offer a little inspiration for the challenge - I hope they will be of use to you if you'd like to join in!
@boxplayer you have some lovely nature shots (planning to catch up a bit when I get chance one day!) and it's fine to just join in on days you can do it :)
Thank you for posting this. Just signed up to receive via email. I did take a walk at lunch time. This challenge was a reminder to get out from my office!
Thanks for sharing the list, I had forgot about it and hadn't thought of sharing it! Though it is just a guide, no pressure to do set things each day! @pandorasecho
@annied ah, thanks for the tie in! The list looks great, I can use it for inspiration if I'm stuck for 30 days wild one day and will tag if I get any of the June words :)
Looking forward!
Great to have a few people joining in :) I can't promise to comment on all your photo, but I'll at least look whenever I get chance!
This is my day 1 photo as I haven't got round to updating more.
Great to have you joining in :)
