I had a wonderful weekend with another fantastic and new experience. For those who are used to snow every winter you won't share my excitement, but I am very new to this kind of weather and I think only once before have I been where snow has been falling, and only briefly. My husband, youngest daughter and I had the opportunity to visit Mount Cook (Aoraki) for the weekend. It was a grey, wet, miserable day in Queenstown on Friday and we travelled up to Mt Cook Friday afternoon arriving after dark. What a surprise to wake up in the morning to snow! It was so exciting. It was interesting to by chance meet up with some people who belonged to a camera club from Christchurch. I went out walking with them in the morning and got lots of fabulous snowy photos! The snow kept falling all day.
So glad that you had that experience. We Canadians only get excited about snow until Christmas, then we're usually done with shovelling it, skidding our cars in it, slipping and falling in it...!
@littleconnie It was great to meet up with other photographers - sometimes it is tricky with non-photographers as they aren't always so patient!!! @777margo Thanks - it was for me!! @mv_wolfie Thanks Mariana - yes it was fabulous - I loved it. @paul10 Thanks so much Paul :-) @elkereturns I can understand that - I think if I had snow for months at a time I would get over it too!! @julzmaioro So true!! and thanks.
