In the morning I worked on emails to do with the photo club exhibition and then I bit the bullet and dusted l the shelves in the living room along with a general clean. It didn’t actually take that long and it looks so much better. I also got the suitcases out of the loft as Colin likes to start packing well over a week in advance of travelling and we are off to Portugal for my birthday in February in a week or so.
Later in the afternoon Karen, Ian and Charley came over partly to discuss plans for Chris’s upcoming 40th birthday and partly because they want to try out a new local Lebanese restaurant - Rua - which we have not yet tried.
The weather has now moved on from minus temperatures to just above freezing but with heavy rain in the evening. We had not booked a table but there was room even though it was busy for a wet January Wednesday evening. In the event the food was very good with decent portions and a friendly service. It definitely lives up to its reputation and I think we will definitely be back in the future.
