I've only done one "splash" shot, and that was at a friend's house, where she had set up the very sophisticated setup...These days at home seem as good a time as any to try these; here is one from my first attempt.
Some of the videos I've watched suggest going macro, so that's what I tried here. But I got more drop than splash. I don't think the drips of water from above created enough of a splash so I'll have to try something else, I think. Always thanks for your visits and suggestions and your feedback (especially the positive...lol).
When we attempted this at our last camera club meeting we got more drop then splash. I saw a suggestion for pricking a plastic bag with a needle for the drop so you would get a smaller drop. Haven't had a chance to try this.
@joansmor Funny that you mentioned pricking a plastic bag...that's exactly what I'd done. If I try it again, I'll try to hold the bag higher and see if that gives more of a splash. I was hand holding it...did your camera club have a better setup???
@joansmor Hi Joan...sorry I am just getting back to you...Thanks for the link to your shot. These are more challenging than one would think, with all of the ones I see! I'm still working on these and trying various setups ... I've posted two more...one was drips from a faucet and the other, which I got better focus with, was a handheld bag! Now on to water crowns....some day! (btw - I just realized I wasn't following you....have corrected that situation!)
