These are the lovely gates of Ripley St. Thomas School Lancaster where my two grandchildren go. I tried to take a photo of the actual buildings but it was too dark.
I called here this morning to take a lambs heart for Lydia to dissect in Biology, she had forgotten to pick it up from the butchers.
After that I had to treck all the way to Preston to pick up the trousers belonging to Harrys new suit.
I have also bought a new phone today as mine has gone wrong, one of these where you use your finger to move the screen ...that will be fun learning that !!!
Very imposing gates! The building looks modern though which probably gives them the best of both worlds. Lancaster to Preston really is a trek though - I hope Harry was grateful :0)
@judithg This is looking out to house on the road Judith, the school is as old as the gates but didn't come out well in the photo. I was hassled as only had a small window of time to get this heart to Lydia while break was on !!

An interesting shot there; new buildings behind an old entrance. I have done a similar shot myself today, but a different purpose! My mum & grandparents come from Lancaster so I think I recognise this place.
These gates look as though they could belong to a fairy castle, your family keep you busy running around after them , Has your new phone got a camera ?
@sarah19@snowy Yes phone has a camera but only 3megapixels. I could have got the bigger phone with more pixels but thought the smaller one would do. It's a Galaxy Mini with touch screen so Jack might have to help me out !!!
