Bulb time. by happypat

Bulb time.

We were given some daffodil bulbs this morning & it is a job I hate so I was really glad when Harry said he would just dig the top layer of turf of & plant them that way.
I once used one of those fancy bulb planters & damaged the nerves in my hand by pressing too hard on the handle...took my hand ages to get back to normal!

The water in the background is the potato field which is flooded. The guy who planted them came to look this morning & said potatoes have got to £240 per ton now as lots are going rotten in the fields like these. Although he will get less potatoes they will be worth more so it will even out the loss.
Oh I was just going to recommend a fancy bulb planter - but much better off with a Harry!

Bulbs are so lovely to look forward to! Sorry to hear about the potatoes. We didn't do well with ours this year, the early ones were the best and are still doing well.

The old cobweb theorem for agricultural pricing. You are planning ahead, we haven't even bought our spring bulbs yet!!

Well done, Harry!! I had to read that last paragraph a couple of times (haha!) but eventually it made sense to these old brain cells!
