Trees breaking out over the castle wall.

As I sat in the car outside the castle these lovely buds where just coming into leaf.
Lancaster Castle used to be a prison until a couple of years ago....how awful to be in a cell & looking at the trees through your cell bars!

What is it now then Pat? I was thinking today that the blossom gets all the glory but the new leaves are just as beautiful in their own ways.

@judithg not sure what tree it was & you can hardly see the buds from here but were much more noticeable at the time. Loving all the new leaves , they are coming out fast in this sun.

Oh LOL not sure Judith, there is a tour & museum & offices but not sure what else, always looks busy!
