Mummy duck & her two boyfriends are back again.
Last year if you remember she had seventeen babies & brought them all to visit us.
Harry feeds them corn & seeds every time they come to the back door which can be up to three times a day....it costs us a fortune!!
We can hear them making a calling noise on the other side of the door when we are in the kitchen.
How great -- Mrs D must remember the hand that fed her last year !! Well done Harry - it is nice to encourage and help the wildlife like this -- so I suppose it will be a case of "watch this space " for perhaps another brood .
Thank you all. We were delighted to see all three of them arrive back again this spring although what she is doing with two husbands I don't kno....not sure if this is normal behaviour among ducks! As soon as we saw them we knew they were the same ones & they have no fear of us at all......plus they expect to be fed pronto!
Great photo to see them so clearly - I expect you know that this is the same duck somehow. Also expect you have to hose the concrete down every now and then!
