This young couple have been staying on & off here for the last twelve years or so.
They have a very successful pudding making business called Counrty Puddings, on sale all over the place...their sticky toffee pudding is so delicious & the cartons of custard I eat cold with a spoon out of the tub!
David is a farmer & Lynne started making puddings in a farm building, they are now in a large unit near Penrith & she employs eleven staff.
They are just setting off for a seventy mile bike ride in training to do the Coast to Coast ride in aid of raising funds for a special wheelchair for a friend.
Lyn spent three weeks in Cambodia last year helping out in an orphanage there.

@beryl I love the people I meet Beryl....it is such a pleasure sometimes & they come back so I can follow their lives. I seem to be busier than ever this year!
They both look quite young really so must have worked hard to get where they are! Nice people too doing all that! Puddings sound wonderful - prefer to read about them though, not eat - tum is big enough!

@jennywren Yes I am a little sick of the cooker but breakfast is pretty easy.....when you have done as many as I have you can do it blindfold! Thanks Jen!
Amazing couple....so admire them and those like them. 70 miles...that's quite a feat! Thanks to them for their service and they look like such a lovely couple to have stay at your place. I am sure they have amazing stories to tell. They must stay in places like yours, as I don't see any camping gear on their bikes.

They bring you puddings. Well that alone makes them a great couple but they sound wonderful . Building up their own successful business and doing so much for charity as well. Lovely happy shot Pat
WOW great photo and great story..........must see if their puddings are sold up here at all. I love puddings but as Allan doesn't like them much (catching up on years gone by!!) I only make them when we have visitors!!
