Taken on Thursday as I walked back from the village having been down to get some provisions and the local paper. The main road had been cleared but the side roads had not. Beautiful though, but not so practical if you happen to live on this street. Converted to B&W for Flash of Red February. Week one - Landscape.
Wow, even though it looks beautiful, I don't miss snow at all. I remember being stuck in a blizzard on the Pennines when I was a teenager and that cured me.
So pretty when the snow sits on the branches etc.....but hope it doesn't hang around too long.
We are quite white .....but being closer to the coast things are wetter on the roads rather than hard packed white!!
It seems like a surreal scene. I am pleased to say that I have never experienced such weather conditions. It's also something that I have no wish nor desire ever to experience.
Gracious you have had some snow Issi....so pretty but restricting if you have places to go. I love the trees in the background...the shape of the branches with that slight droop is magical!
@happypat The droop of the trees was our big worry yesterday driving to Braemar ... dangerously droopy! Lots of branches down and cleared to the sides of the road. No incidents though, fortunately. We got up and down without a problem.
Our weather forecast promises lots of snow on Sunday and freezing temperatures.
