A very skittish bird

is the Lapwing.

We have then here on the estate too, but it is very difficult to get close enough for a photo. Here there wa a lot of water seperating us.

we have the masked lapwings, which I still call plovers hahaha, around here and they are skittish too unless guarding their nest when they are in attack mode
