Up up and away by ludwigsdiana

Up up and away

It was fun watching them take off in the wind. I doubt I would have gone up in that little planewhich had to go over that mountain.

I also feel sorry for all those people living on a very exclusive and expensive estate. The airport is right next to them and especially on weekends, pilots in the making practice their starts and landings non stop.
A great backdrop for the shot of this little yellow plane! But I would also not like to live there.

Great shot

Lovely shot. The airport was there long long before the estate, so I feel nothing for people who wanted to buy into a development next to the airport that they had to know was there before they bought!

Wonderful Diana, your capture makes me think.. how will this tiny plane fly over those mountains.

Beautiful shot of the scene with that yellow plane popped out.

Makes a great pop of colour.

Great POV, capture, editing and presentation.

Beautifully captured and edited Diana, begs the question why move there or was it a case of the people first the airstrip second:)

The mountain looks massive in comparison to the small plane.

Great action capture and timing. The airplane looks so small against the mountains.

Maybe these respective people like to be part of a flying exercise. I would! That solid rock of mountain wall is so dramatic! fav

Nice pic. The little sunny plane is dwarfed by the grey mountains.

Great view and nice action.

I agree with you about going over the mountains in that tiny little plane! I imagine the people who live there become so used to most of it, that they hardly hear any of it.

love the effect :)

lovely bright spot of colour in the plane

Super capture

@pcoulson airstrip was there first. Residential Estates only started being developed in that region relatively recently.

Great capture of a takeoff and the massive mountain in the background.

@seacreature Thanks for the information Desi I must agree with you:)

Neat shot. That mountain must present quite a challenge at times.

Great shot😊

Awesome rocks. Great shot to show the place.

Those mighty mountains and the little yellow plane- a great contrast! Fav

Wow awesome mountains!

Too bad about the homes next to the airport- but it's kind of like people who buy a house next to a school and then are surprised to hear children playing in the yard all day long. But I wonder if they get so used to hearing them, they don't hear them anymore. We lived in an apartment next to train tracks and we got so used to hearing the train whistle we'd sleep right through it at night. Anyway...! Good shot and nice editing. It really looks rainy!

This rain effect is very good. I can’t imagine how steep their takeoff must be to get over the mountain.

Nice capture. Hardly looks big enough to even have an engine. :-)

@grammyn @olivetreeann It is the most expensive golf club and estate probably in the Western Cape. I too suppose that one can get used to anything for the sake of prestige ;-)
