I didn't think mushrooms grew in the middle of summer but..... oh the story!... My darling husband cut down a beautiful shrub to the ground by mistake! I was mad, sad and resigned! I took several cuttings of the plant, dipped them in rooting powder and went round the fence line looking for places to stick them! I found this little mushroom looking pristine over in the dark so, of course, grabbed the camera and shoved it in the mushrooms face!
Wow - this is an alien mushroom - but cool looking.
My hubby has done this before too and felt terrible when he realized - now he is afraid to go near my shrub or perennial borders.
Great capture. I think his spaceship is just out of sight, hovering anxiously to take him home. About your question yesterday -- I'm a perpetual student. I've been auditing art classes for about ten years now.
Good contrast in this shot. My husband also cuts down things that I want to keep in the garden. Whenever, he goes outside with the garden tools, I try to drop what I am doing and chase after him to see what he is doing.
