Not actually the first for John as he drove it home after we had purchase it. But the first for me - up high there on the seat in front with this lovely layout behind me! I took this in portrait mode which blurred our faces of course.
How wonderful just to be able to,pull over if you fancy a cup of tea without having to unhitch! So much more convenient except when you want to pop for some milk in the morning, perhaps laid a bike in there? We sometimes see a fixed tobar with a very small car behind the camper van. Even flowers in there to & red boots!
@happypat Those are my slippers,Pat - didn't know we were going for a ride! And there is a bike rack on the bike which I shall use for that sort of errand! Like fresh bread or a bottle of wine!
Such a beautiful streamline and classy interior , you must be thrilled and itching to go on that 1st trip !! but remember to take out your vase of Daffs. before you take to the road !!
@beryl There is quite a lot of checking to be done before going on the road - all cupboards secured, power off, lockers locked etc so I shall remember these daffs!
@maggiemae Ooh ,I know , once a cupboard door came unlocked on our tourer ( a long time ago !!) fortunately the crockery in that cupboard were "melamine "and so survived !!
@maggiemae Oh... That's right! Not the left! Haha! You're going to LOVE RV (recreational vehicle) living. We've done it for decades. Our current motorhome gets a LOT of usage. Is this your full time home or "getaway" home!!???
@aglennc Just a getaway home but we intend to travel widely around NZ, Anita! So many places to experience! We have had a caravan or such for years too! This is our first motorhome.
@maggiemae Go for it!1! We had a pickup truck with overhead camper, a tent trailer, a self contained travel trailer, and two used motorhomes before our current motorhome which we purchased new from the factory several years ago. Been "camping" since we were married in 1960. Our kids grew up with it and, consequently, have the same travel bug we have always had.
I guess you do as the English do....drive on the left. it was a smart move to step up to this larger, more comfortable RV. with almost all the comfort of home.
a little note: Grace and I on our cruise were wondering why most people go up and down the stairs on the opposite site from us. we go down on the right and people came up on that side and moved over to let us pass. we left from London, England. it took us a while before we caught on.
@aglennc Exactly as we did, Anita. As children went camping in a tiny wooden caravan - no facilities, another boat with growing children, another tiny caravan after they had all gone - upgraded to a fifth wheel, then the last caravan a bit bigger then finally, this motorhome - top of the tree now!
