Wow!!! How can I thank you all for putting this one on the PP and the TP?! It was even more exciting to see it's still there at 5 PM EST as I usually miss seeing them on the page! Thank you so much for the views, the comments and the favs. You folks are spectacular!!
@aikimomm Our photo club has a yearly "scavenger hunt" where 10 subjects/genres/styles are listed and we have 2 mos. to find and photograph them. They are then judged and winners are chosen for "best all around", "best of any one item" and runners up for each. There might be another award but I don't remember what it is. This 1) Architecture, 2) Portrait with natural light, 3) Portrait with artificial light, 4) water, 5) Black and White 6) Table top man-made item 7) sooc 8) a picture where shapes dominate the photo 9) wildlife, and 10) shadow and texture.
@aat3877 It's quite popular with our club. Last year the rules were that we could only do minimal processing to the shot- some sharpening and color adjustment. But as much as possible was to be done in camera. This year, the rules are broader and we are allowed to interpret the items in whatever way we want. I thought I would go crazy with the processing but actually the subjects really leant themselves to t a more natural interpretation. It was fun. The final date due is May 30th so I'll be waiting a while to see if I won anything.
