I am a bit behind with viewing your photos, but will try and catch up tonight.
Had to go to Nelson Bay this morning to have a CT scan on my neck. Could do with a neck transplant really, but I don't think they can do that yet!!! I've looked for one on ebay, but none there either ha ha!!
It has been a beautiful day today and not a cloud in the sky. This pelican seems to be enjoying the beautiful weather. They really do look too big to fly.
Back to the gardening now though until dinnertime.
@tryingforsighs@derekvickers Thanks. It was a fluke that there was space for it to fly into. It was just above my head and like Icarus was heading for the sun. He was flying with a couple of friends too, but I couldn't get them in this shot.
@huvesaker Strangely enough I have tried the Body Shop. False advertising there I reckon, they only had creams to rub on, not the genuine stuff ha ha. I was looking for a neck for me, a back for my husband and a few spare parts for various friends too, but no luck, they were totally out of supplies.
You will have to come to Australia to see the pelicans, we have got hundreds of them here in Nelson Bay alone.
@yaorenliu I think you have got it sorted. Perhaps I should transplant the neck of the pelican on to me if his neck is so strong. Could be just what I need!!!
Beautiful capture Babs, on a magnificent blue sky. I hope all is ok with you. Sydney has had its warmest winter since records began. Btw I love your sense of humour.
@elaine55 Thanks elaine. Been pretty warm up here this winter too. How hot will summer be!!! The most important thing in life I reckon is a sense of humour and you have got to be able to laught at yourself too. Don't take life too seriously, it isn't permanent!!!
After the year I've had I lost my sense of humour for a while, but I found it again (it was under the bed). Some people reckon money is the most important thing, some reckon health, but I figure that there aren't too many rich or healthy people in the graveyard, so I think I will stick with sense of humour. Have a lovely day and may the sun shine.
If you find a place that does good necks can you give me the heads up! Love this shot these pelicans have such wonderful expressions as if to say why did you doubt for one second my ability to fly? Hope scan gives you some answers.
Ps I was having quite a few problems with my neck and my rheumatologist recommended using one pillow instead of two. I thought to myself that won't make any difference and I'll never be able to sleep - pleased to say he was right and I was wrong, big improvement for me.
@paulaw You can be added to our list of people who are looking for new necks, most of my friends are on the list so far. Yao @yaorenliu spotted that pelicans probably have strong necks, so all we have to do is catch one pelican and then transplant its neck on mine. How easy is that!!! It will be okay as long as I don't have to start eating raw fish!!!
About the pillow thing, tried that. I will get the results tomorrow and think it is probably spondylosis, but also there could be scar tissue where I have had my thyroid removed and now have a neck full of staples. that could be adding to the problem.
I think the pelican neck is looking pretty good eh! Good job I like pelicans. Never get tired of photographing them. they are such charactgers.
I am disappointed to find that ebay couldn't help:(

Not had much luck with the new neck search yet. Keep an eye open for me please.
