Mum I think I'm a bit big now for this baby bath!!!

Spotted this baby magpie having a drink in a plant pot base which was full of water and then he decided to sit in it. Doesn't quite fit somehow!

Great shot and perfect caption. I remember bathing will in a baby bath when he was 2 and decided he hated the bath plug!!!

Perhaps he thinks he's a duck! Love this shot and your title Babs. I think we have noted before your magpies look very different to ours.

@gypsy6 I remember bathing you in the big white sink at Luffenham when you were about 3 because you didn't want to be in the big bath.

@paulaw I couldn't remember what English magpies looked like so I Googled it, they are a lot different aren't they. Of course this one is a juvenile and hasn't got his full black and white feathers yet. Still the same size as an adult maggie though.

@alia_801 It is still winter here so it isn't particularly hot, about 21 degrees c.

@tryingforsighs Thanks Rachel. Maggie's are hilarious to watch.

@streats How big are UK maggie's. I can't remember. The dish he is sitting in would be about 25 cm (10 inches) I suppose and he is about the same size as an adult magpie, just not got the full b&w feathers yet.

@dekky740 @lafish Thanks. His mother probably told him he needed a bath, but when he got in it he wasn't sure what to do!!!

@estherhelen @angelar @derekvickers @joeyc Thanks. I don't think he was the brightest one in the family, because he just sat there in the water.

I had to look up Magpie as I didn't think this was a baby. In Australia this is a baby! Great pic!

@sbolden @goosemanning @sunraye Thanks. I don't think he was the brightest bird because he just sat there instead of bathing himself!!

@judy365projectorg Yes baby magpies are the same size as their parents, they just don't get their adult feathers for about 12 months I believe.

@onewing Hehe - if he's needing to cool off now, he's not going to like summer much! :)
