@eyesmile Thanks Gena. We had a brilliant day. A great lesson in camera settings too. Had to be quick. I think the longest anyone of these chaps stayed on the bull was 8 seconds. Some only just got out the gate and they were flying through the air!!!
@steampowered Thanks Paul. Only one lasted 8 seconds, these were the novices though apparently. Some only just made it through the gate before they were off.
@streats@bugsy@angelat Thanks. It was a fun day. We should have had protective gear too, from the dust and the bulls which hit the barrier once they had ejected their rider!!!
@iwatts Thanks Ian and for the fav. We had a great day. It was a brilliant exercise in camera settings. Had to be so quick to get a shot of the riders before they hit the dust!!! I think I took this at 1/1000 sec and as it got darker I went up to 1/2000 sec.
@custodiabaptista@angelar@humphreyhippo@tryingforsighs@heidihp@christinehosey@paulaw@gamelee Thank you all for your lovely comments. This was an outing with our photo club and was a brilliant day. Never been to a rodeo before and I think I will go again. Great exercise in camera settings too. Had to be really quick to get some of the shots as some of the riders only lasted a couple of seconds before they flew through the air. We all came home covered in dust.
@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Hope you have a good time. I look forward to going to another one sometime. I think there is another one at Tomago (where this one was) in March. Learning curves with the settings for this kind of shot too. I think this one was 1/1000 sec. I think I went to 1/2000 sec for some too.
