Buddhist Saying

Just about every day this year I have come across someone who is having a hard time either emotionally or medically.

Today I got news that a friend is about to have major surgery and it made me think of this Buddhist quotation which I saw on a wall plaque at Nan Tien Temple a few months ago. At the time I had to face some of my darkest days.

Brighter days do come along.

@joluise Thanks Jo. I have smelt smoke today and heard sirens but haven't watched the news yet. I think there may be a fire at Salt Ash which is about 25 km from here.
There was one at Glenrock in Newcastle yesterday and they have got a 16 year old lad for deliberately lighting it.

@heidihp Thanks Heidi. No plain sailing at all, especially this year. Our friend isn't doing too well and his wife is quite sick too. Luckily they have family who will keep a close eye on them both.
