Charlie

Had a busy day today. This morning we had to go to Tanilba House to sort out the details of our photography clubs exhibition which will be shown there during December and January. From there we went to Newcastle where we had lunch, had to buy a few books in the second hand book shop, went to the art gallery and then went to pick up Anita, as she returned from her trip to Yamba where she had been visiting her friend.

This photo is of Charlie who is a Long Billed Corella and he lives at Tanilba House. He is a very chatty chap but I wasn't getting too close to that beak!
nice close up... looks like a smile I'm seeing...lol

What an unusual looking creature, his eye and the red around his beak look as though they are made of wool. Enjoy you last couple of weeks with your sister.

That just doesn't look right, a beak that long, how does he eat his seeds?

@lafish @yaorenliu @gypsy6 @paulaw @winnedreamer Sorry for the group reply again. Been out all day. He was a cheerful chappie. I have seen a long billed corella before, but not one with a beak this long. He seems to cope with eating though.
Yes Paula his eye does look like wool doesn't it. Perhaps he is knitted!!! He is a very strange looking bird altogether.

@joluise Me too. They force books on us and won't let us out until we have bought at least 3 books. That's my story anyway and I am sticking to it!!!
