It hasn't rained since the beginning of December and you would be wrong to think it is raining now too.
The ripples in this shot are as a result of the water from the fountain falling on the lily pads at the botanical gardens.
We desperately need some rain as it is getting very dry and the grass is turning yellow again. Going to get hotter I believe later in the week, so no rain forecast in the near future.
It does look like it's raining Babs. Last week when we arrived home we brought the rain with us and the sky was grey for a few days but it is now lovely again. Of course the concern with this hot dry weather is bush fires.
Great shot Babs - you can have some of England's rain - we have way too much - the south are getting the worst of it, with whole village still cut off and places under 5 foot of water.
If we came to visit I would guarantee you would get rain. ... it always happens when we show up! (even here, if only for a moment!! hahah) We get accused of carrying a black cloud with us...we get soooo much rain at home. This is the best weather we have ever had down here in AZ though....they do need rain also, what we brought with us just was not enough I am afraid. Great shot and the "pretend" rain drops are great!
@iwatts Thanks for offering to share some of your rain, we could do with it at the moment. I believe the 42 degree C heat is heading our way from west to east. That usually means bush fires.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. You will have to come and visit if you bring rain with you. You could be worth a fortune, we could rent you out to drought areas.
@modeller@ourrube@hermann@ginnykoppenhol@sunraye Thanks to you all. I hope we get some real rain soon. Getting very dry again here now and hot too. The 42 degree heat is sweeping across the country, hope it cools a bit by the time it gets to the east coast.
