@ourrube Thanks so much Ruby. @jaynspain Thanks Jayn. I loved the signal lights reflected on the train too. @hermann Thanks I love going to Sydney on the train. Much less stressful than driving. @eyesmile Thanks Gena. Yes I saw your posting yesterday, you are a lovely lady. Thanks so much. @ivan My husband loves trains too. If ever we go out for a 'mystery tour' in the car, there always seems to be a train at the end of the journey!!! Odd that. @cljs Thanks Chris. Yes a lot of our towns and cities are named after the UK. The early settlers were reminded of their homes in the UK and Newcastle was named probably because of the coal and the steel works in the early days. @happysnap Thjanks Linda. I loved the signal light reflections too. Strictly speaking the trains here are double deckers with a mezzanine level. You enter the train at the mezzanine level where there are about 10 seats and then the steps go down to the lower level and up to the top level. So it is more a two and a half decker really. @sis Thanks Anita. Glad it brought back memories. I just love our trains.
Great night capture and love the red reflections coming onto the train. You had me in doubts with 'triple' decker! Hehe! Rode these trains in Sydney and could only remember two levels!
@savannah51 Well two and a half . You get on the train at the mezanine level and there are about 10 seats on that level and then go downstairs to one level and upstairs to another level. That makes 3 for me.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. Newcastle station is a beautiful station but sadly I think its days are numbered. they want to get rid of the line into the centre of town.
@onewing Goths and Vandals are abroad again! What a shame. Geelong has a lovely old station. I must get some more shots of it and post some to show you.
@onewing I took a bunch last year, but need to get myself back down there on a Sunday when it's pretty quiet down there except right on train times. Need good light though, the light/dark contrast is pretty tricky.
