I haven't had chance to take a photo today as I have been catching up on chores at home and emails etc.
I did intend taking a photo of the super moon, but unfortunately, that day was our photo club outing, followed by lunch and followed by a photo club committee meeting and when I got home I forgot all about taking a photo of the moon. Sad when the brain goes.
I took this photo the day before the super moon so that I could make sure the settings were right on the day.
I have never taken a photo of the moon before, so this was my first ever attempt. David is the one in our family who takes photos like this and I don't usually compete with him, as he not only does a better job of it, he also has a much better camera than I have. Having said that I am quite pleased with the results though.
You should have used his camera Babs. Good shot all the same. So why is yours a sepia colour and mine is grey? I wouldn't have thought you had any smoke or dust in the atmosphere down there.
Fantastic result Babs the surface is very clear, hope to get a shot myself if the sky is clear tonight, bit of a theme there you have an idea and I follow up a few days latter lol;)
Great shot Babs, Super shot. I haven't forgotten the advice your husband gave me when I get a chance to get a shot. fav
Sorry for not commenting much lately, lacking motivation and time :)
@terryliv Don't know why mine is sepia and yours is grey Terry. David took a photo too and his is the same colour. All I can think of is that this was taken just on sunset and so it wasn't entirely dark. Because the focus was on the moon maybe the sunset made the difference with the lighting. The moon was this colour though and not grey. So other than that explanation, buggered if I know, ha ha.
