Terminus

Well Spring didn't last long. After a rather dull morning with the sun trying to peep through, the clouds finally went black this afternoon and it poured with rain and we had a quick thunder storm.

I have just got home and managed to miss the heaviest of the rain. No time to take photos today though.

This photo is one I took on Sunday at Paterson. It was on a property next to Tucker Park and I think it may be somebody's project. I think they need to do something with it soon though as it is in quite a bad state of repair.

Today's topic photo - Evening and Night

Oh, how sad! I seem to spend half my life waiting for buses that never arrive. Looks like I'd need to wait a bit longer for this one.

September 2nd, 2014
Fabulous! Being a natural born cynic, I think that you will be coming back to photograph the decaying vehicle for a good long time to come before anything happens to it!
September 2nd, 2014
It looks like it is in quite a state. It may make some good scrap metal :)
September 2nd, 2014
Spring came here today... neat old bus...
September 2nd, 2014

That would look fantastic restored. Would be interesting working on the roof though. Great capture. :)
September 2nd, 2014
That is a very interesting looking vehicle, but it does look in a bad state of disrepair! Doesn't look like anyone will be driving it soon!

@annied Thanks Annie. Had two thunder storms here this afternoon and this evening. It got quite spooky this evening, could almost hear the organ playing Phantom of the Opera. ha ha.
September 2nd, 2014
@creampuff How did you guess. I will have to go back definitely and when I have taken the picture they may just force another fantastic meal on me at the Paterson Tavern. It's a hard life.
September 2nd, 2014
@karlow75 You could be right Kane. I can just hear the female of the house saying to her husband "What on earth have you brought home now". ha ha.
September 2nd, 2014
@julzmaioro Thanks Julia. Spring came and went here today. Back to rain again.
September 2nd, 2014
Fab shot and find Babs, what a great bus to photograph.
September 2nd, 2014
@beryl You are right Beryl. I wouldn't fancy moving it though, it must be full of spiders and snakes.
September 2nd, 2014
What a great old van! Nice shot!
September 2nd, 2014
Cold and wet here too Babs after just a beautiful start to Spring.
September 2nd, 2014
@hermann What a great idea Sally. You will have to come down here. That would be a great picture, you in your purple wig standing on top of the bus.
September 2nd, 2014
@gigiflower The bus certainly hasn't moved for a while has it.
September 2nd, 2014
@quietpurplehaze Cobwebs are the least of the troubles I think. It is probably full of red backs and other spiders and maybe even snakes. You wouldn't get me in there.
September 2nd, 2014
@tomtom I think you are right Andrew. I can almost hear the last post being played.
September 2nd, 2014
@flyrobin Thanks Robyn, it has got character hasn't it.
September 2nd, 2014
@darthkitty I doubt that I would be able to live long enough to take a photo of this bus restored, ha ha. Could take a while.
September 2nd, 2014
@tabarlett Thanks Tammy. I don't think it is going to get through roadworthy this year. ha ha.
September 2nd, 2014
@lilminimonka How would you fancy a driving lesson in this Brianna. ha ha.
September 2nd, 2014
@kwind @elaine55 Thanks. I am not sure it will get through Roadworthy though.

More rain here tonight and a terrific thunderstorm Elaine.
September 2nd, 2014
I don't think there has been a thunderstorm but very high winds.

September 2nd, 2014
Great shot - absolutely love it.
September 2nd, 2014
Great find Babs, love the composition and depth of field, I tend to look at this as a great change of use, no longer fit for the road so much better than sent for scrap;)
September 2nd, 2014
Definitely looks like the end of the line.
September 3rd, 2014
Poor old bus. I'm surprised some backpackers haven't done it up into a travelling home!
September 3rd, 2014
Great find
September 3rd, 2014
Awesome capture Babs.
September 3rd, 2014
Another great find Babs, great shot :)
September 3rd, 2014
@onewing Oh god Babs, I think a driving lesson in this would be a huge recipe for disaster! I still haven't managed to get the car to move yet, I cant imagine being put in control of this old bus! ;)
September 3rd, 2014
@elaine55 The wind has reached here now too
September 3rd, 2014

September 4th, 2014
@golftragic It does look a bit sad doesn't it. I have no idea what the owner of the property was planning on doing with it. Obviously nothing.

@sioux It does look a bit sad doesn't it.

@kwiksilver I hope Spring comes back soon too. Not been too bad today, but rained again this evening.
September 4th, 2014
@philcameron59 Thanks for dropping by Phil. There are a lot of projects like this on properties out here and I think people buy the things and then they just get left.
September 4th, 2014
HA...ooh dear! Glad Charles didn't see this. Luckily it is too far away. He is actually looking at another boat (a project boat!!!!!.... it has MOSS growing on it!) Hope you get some relief soon from the rain.
September 4th, 2014
