Who remembers hopscotch? by onewing

Who remembers hopscotch?

Who remembers hopscotch? I used to love playing hopscotch when I was a child and we drew the squares on the pavement with chalk and used an old shoe polish tin to toss into the squares.

I hadn't seen any evidence of the game for years until I spotted this game at a play park in Nelson Bay. I didn't see anybody playing the game, but I hope someone does remember and play it one day

That looks like a professional pitch :). My girls know how to play it. The odd game breaks out at school.

At school in Broken Hill, it was a dirt playground and we drew the game with a stick. I think we tossed a stone - tors? Great to see this photo

Lovely colourful shot. There are a few of these around in English parks. Was trying to teach my 2-yr old granddaughter the other week - but she's too little just yet.

@jackie8 The park is very popular as it is on the waterfront in Nelson Bay, so I suppose somebody will play hopscotch one day. There is also a giant chess board which is very popular too.

Bet you were tempted to take a few hops. It was great yet simple fun.

That really brings back memories! We didn't colour in the blocks tho, just drew the outline on the ground.
