Reinforcements Arrive

I am filling in some of the gaps and showing what has been happening here while we have been without power for four days due to the massive east coast low storm on Monday and Tuesday.

Our power was off from Tuesday afternoon until Saturday night and we are now realising just how bright electric lights are after living with LED battery light and candle light for four days.

I took this photo on Wednesday morning as the fire brigade turned up at our local SES station at the bottom of our road to help rebuild various areas at the bay.
I bet you were happy to see them all arrive!

All emergency service folk don't get their just rewards. Thankfully we have people who do these jobs.

They would have been so busy over the last week. Hooray that they are there to help.

@susanalena @hermann @salza @gilbertwood @thistle @happypat @shailestha @fntngrma Thank you all. Apparently there are still some people without power. A friend of mine has a sister at Lemon Tree Passage and she still hasn't got power after one week. This was the worst east coast low storm we have had since the Pasha Bulker ran aground in Newcastle in 2007. I think a much larger area was affected this time around though.
