New Beginnings by onewing

New Beginnings

Another shot from our bushwalk on Thursday. This area of the bush was burnt rather badly and yet there is still the beginnings of regeneration.

The undergrowth has completely gone, but in a few weeks it will be back.

I was amazed to see how quickly the Aussie Bush regenerates after fire... great shot..

It's amazing how nature seems to recover after devastating fires. I know that some of our natural fynbos and Proteas need fire to help their seeds germinate.

So wonderful the way nature recovers. I like this shot it shows so well the destruction and the regeneration.

Great find and shot. Was this fire done on purpose, or by mistake?

@beachdog I just read the one from yesterday - controlled burn! Seek and ye shall find!

I will have to go back in a couple of months and take another photo to show how quickly the bushland comes back to life.

Here is a photo I took at the end of 2013. the two photos were at the same spot taken two months apart. The bottom one shows how quickly the bush comes back to life. http://365project.org/onewing/365/2013-12-30
