Regrowth by onewing

Regrowth

It has been a very wet and miserable day here today, so this is a photo taken last Thursday while out with our walking group.

This is bushland at the back of One Mile Beach and isn't a result of a bush fire, but a controlled burn off. I believe the call it 'hazard reduction'. the burn off was in May and as you can see the trees are beginning to come back to life again.

Thanks so much to everyone who voted for my 'Sunset at the Jetty' photo and for getting it on the TT, I was thrilled to get notifications from people this morning letting me know that it was on there.
Its great to see new growth on this tree. Lovely capture.

Beautiful regrowth, love the refreshing colours. The area looks like it has been through some devastation unfortunately :)

@hermann @gilbertwood It wasn't over a huge area and it cleared the undergrowth as well. some of this bushland is close to houses so had to be cleared.

@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel, it doesn't take long for the regrowth to kick in after a fire.

@leestevo @salza @thistle @pusspup @happysnaps @annied @creampuff @seattlite Thanks. It doesn't take long for everything to come back to life after a fire does it.

Good eye, Babs, and a great capture.

So nice to see the re-growth, the same happens over here with the Heather on the moor, it's managed with controlled burn so that grouse have optimum feeding and growing habitat.

some of my oaks do this

Aren't eucalypts marvellous Babs? They regenerate so well after fire damage. I'm always amazed at their resilience.

WOW what at lovely shot. The colors, the growth and the way the eye is lead to the back of this stunning landscape picture. I want to walk here...

@denisef58 Thanks Denise. I just love how the blackened tree trunks give birth to new shoots.
July 19th, 2015
@golftragic I agree Marnie. They definitely thrive on fire. The fires we had at the end of 2013 in our area have all regenerated so well that you wouldn't believe that they were ever damaged.

@pippie Thanks Linda. It was an excellent walk through the bushland and we walked down to Morna Point to watch the whales swimming by too. A lovely day.
