Made It!

Watching the white water rafting at Okera Falls from the safety of the lookout was amazing to see.

I can't believe how they managed to stay afloat. Although while we were watching there was one raft which upturned, but they all survived to tell the tale.
Wow Babs! What an experience, but I don't think I'll be trying that any time soon.

I have been on this river .. but not in a rubber raft but a very fast jet boat.. we raced up the river to these falls and then spun around ... such fun... nice shot..

Adrenaline pumping stuff! I went white river rafting many years ago and loved it. Always wanted to go again but the opportunity hasn't presented itself.

Brilliant action shots. I think your vantage point would be as near to the action as I would want to be. Love all the colours and the energy in the water.

I'm with you Babs, I watched from the lookout when my husband went white water rafting at the Kaituna Cascades.

February 14th, 2016

@cherrymartina @onlyme111 @bizziebeeme @shirleybankfarm @ziggy77 @cruiser @maree_sanderson @deborah63 @hermann @novab @merrelyn @mittens @john39 @seattlite @ceilidh @craftymeg @quietpurplehaze @365projectorgsebgritt @yeshanghai @ladymagpie @alinz @kwind @dide @bkbinthecity @chrysanthemum @taffy @annied Thanks everyone. I was more than happy just to watch. My dare devil days are long gone. There were quite a few participants to watch in the time that we were there and only one capsized, so pretty good going.
February 14th, 2016
@creampuff You won't get me in the raft looking out or anywhere I'm afraid. I will stay on dry land.
February 14th, 2016
@paulaw You are brave Paula. The clear out is going well. We have had a few days off though as we have been out for the last few days. I am just about to start on the kitchen cupboards tomorrow. When we have finished the clear out, painting is next on the list.
February 14th, 2016
@golftragic I'm with you Marnie.
February 14th, 2016
How fun that looks....I would consider doing it, but not sure. Have to be prepared to get wet for sure. Lovely view point.
February 14th, 2016
@onewing There's a saying about pilots that can be adapted to this situation Babs. There are old fools and there are bold fools, but there are no old bold fools.

Lee
Nicely captured. All that water and force on them in the first shot makes it look like they're going under.
February 17th, 2016
Great action shots! Something else I enjoyed watching but would not want to do! Fav!
February 19th, 2016
@pamknowler ha ha, same here. I can't jump in a swimming pool without holding my nose. Thanks for the fav.
