Winter Mirror Box by onewing

Winter Mirror Box

I saw a few mirror boxes images recently posted on 365 by Sue @featherstone26 and I thought I would make one of my own.

I haven't done a mirror box image for quite a while so here is a winter image.

This flower in the garden was looking rather sorry for itself after all the rain we have had so I thought I would give it a new lease of life.
An appropriate looking flower for this time of year. Great fun in the mirror box. I have only done one of these edits. They are all different depending on the subject.

Beautiful colours. Great fun with the mirror box. I never tried it.

Is that a physical thing you have or an editing tool? It's very effective

@casablanca it is done in Photoshop. Here is the tutorial by Gavin Hoey.

You have started me thinking again

Never seen one of these but it looks challenging - particularly when you haven't got PS.
June 24th, 2017
Very clever. I have never seen a mirror box. Something to keep in mind for one day.

Very creative. Works really well. I must give it a try

You certainly succeeded with that new lease of life.
June 24th, 2017
Looks pretty cool when you stick it in a box like this!
June 25th, 2017
@ethelperry thanks Ethel, I have done a few mirror boxes and I agree they are all so different.
June 25th, 2017
@beryl thanks Beryl. Hope you are recovering well.

@littleconnie @gigiflower @carole_sandford @hermann @dawnee @louannwarren @hrs @maggiemae @claudiet @sarahlth @henrir @carolmw @stephanies @gaylewood @maskerade @helenhall Thanks. I really love doing mirror boxes, but I haven't done any for a while, so when I saw this sad wintery flower I thought I would bring it back to life a bit.
some of you have seen the link above on how to do mirror boxes, but if not here it is again.

In the tutorial, Gavin increases the canvas size to 150% but sometimes I increase mine to 200% because it makes the sides of the box look not so squashed up.

@peterday Glad I have started you thinking Peter. I am not usually a flower person because I see so many flowers on 365 I tend to skip by them, but a flower made interesting is more my thing.
June 25th, 2017
Well done.

One very clever lady FAV

What a multi-talented little Vegemite you are Babs, a very impressive effort. Congrats on your recent TT #1, so pleased for you to get a well-deserved win.

@golftragic thanks Marnie. Can't believe I actually achieved no 1 on the TT. It will be downhill from now on I guess.
