I will be a bit limited on commenting on 365 this week because we have so many things on at the moment.
This afternoon we have been at our U3A Christmas party and I gave a PowerPoint presentation of the photos taken by the people who attended our photography course this year.
Last week David and I went to the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights display and it was fabulous.
Not all the displays had a Christmas theme so for this week I will post some of the non Christmas theme lights and closer to Christmas I will post some of the Christmassy ones.
I just loved the dancing dolphins on the lake at the gardens.
Thanks so much for your lovely comments and favs on yesterday's Fairy Mushroom shot taken at Hunter Valley Gardens and for putting the photo on the PP.
I think you are very clever to get a Power Point presentation to work successfully! Glad to hear it was Ok! We are all busy here at this time, but I still like to see what friends have got together! This made a super photo!
This is a wonderful image, suitable fir any time of year too! Looks a great place to visit! Brave you standing up in front of all! That would have nearly killed me at one time in my life but you get more courage as you get older but still quite a task! I suppose it helped being among friends!
@blueace Thanks Annie, it is a wonderful display with both general themes and Christmas themes, I think the mixture is perfect, something for everyone.
@annied It is $30 for the light display which is separate from the normal gardens. It opens at 5.30 pm and closes at 10 pm. Well worth a visit though, quite spectacular. I didn't think we would still be there when it closes, but we were. Didn't get home till about 11.30 pm.
@onewing thanks Babs - we went last year and I have to say I thought it was a tad expensive - thought the gardens were expensive normally - there are many gardens around that are gorgeous and cost nothing to visit
@annied I shudder to think how much it cost to put up all the lights and I believe there are over 2 million lights. You can't put on a show like this for free. If you think it is expensive maybe best to stick to the free ones, but we thought it was well worth the cost.
@onewing fair enough - we have a lot of excellent street displays down here with folk who collect for charities - I guess I am a bit anti Bill Roche - Nutrimetics was such a huge scam and rip off lol - he has so much money already I was shocked when I saw how much it was just to wander through his gardens when there are so many beautiful gardens around that are free or minimal entry.
are the gardens still expensive to visit?
