You can see a very sad looking bushranger being captured by the policeman.
Fred Ward aka Captain Thunderbolt was a notorious bushranger in this area in the 1800s and he lived and worked at Tocal before he began his wayward life. In fact if you look at the building behind these two gentlemen, this is where Thunderbolt lived while working as a stockman and horsebreaker.
