At the beginning of the video you can see me taking a photo of the beach at Zenith. I didn't realize that the young girl was behind me and waiting to walk to the beach.
Later on the video about 3 minutes in you can see me again taking another photo at Birubi beach. It was so windy I had trouble keeping the camera still. You can see my trousers flapping in the wind. I was so glad I wore a beanie on my head and my fingerless gloves, it was so cold.
What beautiful blue water .. but that spray shows how windy it was .. I just looked at the clip and if you were that way inclined you could get sea sick.. lol... love the camels..
She was very kind and patient, wasn't she? Liked the video - you can feel the wind.....and hear it! Those camel riders must have come out with the most exfoliated faces!! Super photo. Spotted you lurking among the dunes taking it.
Beautiful image capturing the spray but giving no idea of just how strong that wind was! I enjoyed the video - wow thatโs rough water! Fabulous to see the camels - I forgot you have them in Australia!
Such wonderful blue of the water and those waves and back-sprays are phenomenal . Enjoyed the video of the wild weather and loved to see the carnival of camels
Really enjoyed the video! I worry about dune sand getting in my camera. I have a friend who ruined his camera taking photos of a haboob (an intense blowing dust storm) in Arizona. Your photo is great!
Same here I looked at your video & was really surprised to see those camels all in a row, had to rewind & show Harry.....the sound of the waves on the beach was very atmospheric!
@julzmaioro ha ha, David is the one who gets sea sick, I am okay. Thankfully the wind has died down today, but still rather chilly.
@casablanca I did apologise when I realized the girl was standing behind me, but she was quite nice about the wait.
I think we all got exfoliated faces that day, the weather was wild. I'm glad I was rugged up.
@pamknowler Thanks Pam, the weather has been wild the last few days, but at least the wind has died down again now.
I believe according to a survey earlier this year we have over 1 million feral camels in Australia.
@beryl How on earth anyone would want to have a camel ride in that weather I don't know, but we do have lots of tourists here at weekend and I suppose that if you have arrived here on a bus trip you have to ride on the camels whatever the weather.
@louannwarren I was a bit wary of getting sand in my camera but risked it anyway.
A friend of ours got sand in his camera but David managed to blow the sand out using an airline attached to his air compressor.
@happypat You have camels on your beaches in Blackpool and we have camels on ours, ha ha.
According to a survey earlier this year we have over 1 million feral camels in Australia. Camels were introduced to Australia in the 1840s to assist the exploration of inland Australia.
Thanks for the video too!
Ian

@peadar @rustymonkey @pusspup @dide @tonygig @creativenature72 @sangwann @fbailey @radiogirl @seattlite @merrelyn @taffy @fishers @kwind @mittens @carole_sandford @danette @carolmw @craftymeg @pyrrhula Thanks. The wind has died down again now and the sun is shining, but for a few days the weather was wild. We have a lot of clearing up to do in the garden, branches and leaves everywhere from our trees.
I do love watching the ocean during wild weather though.

@gardenfolk @bkbinthecity @shutterbug49 @golftragic @nicolecampbell @marylandgirl58 Thanks, I just love watching the waves in wild weather, but we nearly got blown away.
@annied @happysnaps Glad you liked David's video.
@robz Thanks Rob, yes the camels are at Birubi Beach, Anna Bay. It was a very wild day.
