Christmas Bush Flowers

Yesterday I posted a photo of a Christmas Bush and today here is a close up photo of what the flowers look like.

Very hot here at the moment and we now have a bushfire about 25 km from where we live. Hope they put the fire out soon. It is rather smoky here today.

I just watered my young ones and I've lost one to this dry darn it. nice close up.

@koalagardens There is only one road in and out of the bay so I guess we would just have to head for the water. If Nelson Bay Road gets blocked we are stuck here.

They are really pretty- and do have a Christmassy feel to their colors. I hope that fire doesn't spread and that it dies down soon. It must be so hard living with the thought you might have to leave at a moment's notice.
