It has been a week of medical appointments for David and I. I had one yesterday and got soaked because we had a thunder storm just as I was leaving home.
I had another medical appointment this morning and luckily the rain has stopped today.
This shot is another one from Monday when we were in Newcastle and it was at this point where we managed to lose the oversize vehicle we had been tailing for 40 km. It turned left as we turned right. Unfortunately, the heavens opened again and the wipers on the car were going full pelt.
We desperately need the rain though so I am not complaining. It will help damp down the ground when the bushfire season begins next month.
Glad you are getting some decent rain in anticipation of the oncoming Summer. Every little helps, eh? You don't want a repeat of last year's troubles.
Continuing to wish you both well in your appointments and ailments. Lots of love xx
@maggiemae Ha ha indeed. We are fine. David is on the mend and my medical issues are just ongoing and hopefully fixable.
@casablanca Yes we don't want another year like last November to February. I think we have caught up with the rain so fingers crossed we should be okay this year.
I will email you soon. Hope things are okay at your end.
@kjarn Thanks Kathy, we are fine, its just a bugger getting older isn't it. ha ha.
@johnfalconer We caught the edge of the storm yesterday but it just happened while I had to be out in the weather. Bad timing. @edorreandresen
Glad they are keeping an eye on you both....is it private medical care you have to have in Australia Babs? I expect it’s spot on though...sometimes I think the good old NHS should charge a basic fee for appointments & A&E might deter from time wasters!
Rain is good....we have too much at the moment but we can’t live without it! The large truck would have been a nightmare to follow with the spray!
I love a good storm, but don't enjoy driving in it.
@happypat Thanks Pat, no it wasn't a good day for travelling but we do need the rain.
The treatment at the hospital for David's pulmonary embolisms and the consultation at the Haematology Clinic were covered by Medicare so didn't cost us anything.

@photographycrazy @ludwigsdiana @jamibann The rain has stopped today but more on the way I believe. I am beginning to get webbed feet, ha ha
@pusspup Even more grungy on a day like this.
We didn't stay dry on Monday and I didn't stay dry yesterday either but we have seen the sun briefly today.
