I finally got my Covid test results after 4 days. As I thought it was negative, but as I had been exposed to Covid cases I decided to have the test even though I had no symptoms. I am not so sure I would do that again unless I did have symptoms because even though I didn't have a problem staying at home, I really didn't think it would take so long to get the results. Good job I wasn't positive, I could have been seriously ill by the time the result came through if that had been the case.
Only four more sleeps now till Christmas and I am posting Christmas themed photos at the moment.
These Christmas tree photos have been taken by me over recent years and I have put them together in a film strip.
The red and white Christmas tree in the centre was from a Christmas card last year and I use it as a bookmark.
It is so hot here today so I have had a lazy day. We have been waiting for summer to arrive and it has hit with a vengeance after being rather cool for so much of this month.
More storms forecast for the next few days, so maybe we will have a hot and wet Christmas this year.
Good news re your negative covid test. Four days does seem to be a bit long. I think our turnover time is around 24 hours.
Very cool editing, festive result
Good news re your covid test, it did take very long though. I got mine within 18 hours, maybe because I was positive. Even the department of health called to check up on me, which was most surprising.
Our weather pattern seems to be very similar, it is much too hot here atm :-(
@salza@ludwigsdiana It took longer because I wasn't a priority I suppose and hopefully if I had symptoms it would have been quicker. Since cases have increased dramatically over the last couple of weeks more people have been getting tested.
Glad you had a negative result for covid. This word must be the word mostly mentioned each day. The virus has been in control of all the globe these last 2 years. I like how you did this -. Very creative.
Good news but sorry about the delay in test results. I have Covid anxiety, as 22 of our family are gathering here on Boxing Day. My children have organised a strictly outside celebration, and everyone. do self-testing before they come - and masks…..
Phew! Glad you are negative. We have lateral flow tests ready to do before we see my parents on Christmas Eve. The Young Fella gets his booster jab tomorrow, so we will all be triple jabbed before Christmas. Doesn't stop this current bug completely, but it does severely limit its impact.
Love your Christmas film strip idea.
A fascinating line of lovely trees….all very different too!
Glad you are negative….a wasted few days if you though about it. There is talk of the isolation period of ten days being reduced to one week here, it will help with staffing problems massively.
A fun and festive presentation. Glad to hear of your negative test - I understand here that the time it takes to get results depends on where you get tested...I'm betting the number of tests will be way up for the next few weeks due to the holidays
Looks great. Glad you had a negative - four days is a long turn around. My son got his in less than 24 hrs, but it was positive. He is in London and it was almost inevitable it would hit some time soon. I think they process the positive results first and the negative ones go on the back seat.
@casablanca Hope the young fella doesn't have any symptoms with his booster and that he feels okay for Christmas.
@pattyblue Thanks Pat. It is summer here in Australia so the weather is quite hot
@helenhall Hope your son makes a speedy recovery. My sister who lives in the UK was diagnosed with Covid about 3 days ago so she will be spending Christmas alone.

Brilliant test result news, you can get out and about now - weather permitting...
