I went out for a drive to see if there were any flags flying but didn't see any!! Then remembered the "flag" I was flying back in the summer of last year. What a year for us with the success of the Olympics!! This "flag" however was an official scarf for the UK Paralympic Team. I saw it on TV and just had to have one so that I could put it up in support of our athletes!! What a Games it was - I think I cried more than once every day!! It didn't really matter what country the athletes came from - I didn't really care who won!! It was such an emotional experience!! I think the words on the "flag" were meant for everyone taking part - " Talent, Pride and Determination"
And Team GB? Our Greatest Team!!
It was an amazing Olympics last year! Such wonderful, gracious hosts!!
That's an awesome flag. I love how they use a strong, brave lion to represent the Paralympic team. Very fitting.

Great scarf - I have its sister and wore it to the Paralympics on my birthday!! (It was my present from George and Cathy). Funnily enough, I rinsed it out at the weekend and had it on the line, where I saw the lion-head all over again. It was a wonderful summer, wasn't it?!

I watched some of the paralympic wheelchair marathon with @donna_miller inear Trafalgar Square and it was amazing. Thanks for reminding me of a fabulous day with your great image ;0
@rennes Many thanks Lisa!! Me too!! I hate football with a passion - especially those overpaid prima donnas who unfortunately are our young people's "heros"!! The Olympians and Paralympians are the true Heros!! (I'll get off my soapbox now!! LOL!!)
