16th September 2013 - The world's biggest coffee morning!!
Topic of the Day - Awareness ( Childhood cancer awareness month)
I had no idea what to shoot today until I popped into M&S for some milk and there before me was their display making everyone aware that 27th September is "The World's Biggest Coffee Morning". They are encouraging people to have their own coffee mornings to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. This is a wonderful charity which helps so many people suffering with cancer - not just children. It also helps support the families of those suffering. I bought the recipe book and will try to arrange my own coffee morning although most of my friends and family are at work in the day.
I am now spreading the word and making you all aware - why not have your own coffee morning in support of your local cancer charity. I asked if I could take this shot and the staff seemed pleased and said to mention them - the lovely ladies in M&S Food Wellingborough. We had a laugh when they said they should do a naked calender for charity (done before I know) and I did offer to take the photos for them!! Lots of laughter with suggestions on how they should pose!! Great fun!! Lets hope they raise lots of money on the 27th for Macmillan!!
Great charitable cause Pam, I would come to your coffee morning if I could although you would have to organise me some peppermint tea! love the greens!
