21st December 2013 - Creepy house

Topic of the Day - Humbug Day (Anything not related to Christmas)

I love this old house in the village of Mears Ashby but by standing in the churchyard I got some gravestones in the shot and I thought it gave it a creepy atmosphere. Another HDR effort.

Many thanks for all your lovely comments on my magpie and robin. I love to read what you say - you are all so supportive!!
Lov ely subject matter for B & W photography - it does look somewhat creepy!

I love the way you have composed this shot with a balance between gravestones and the trees and house beyond. Great choice of b&w.

This is one photo where the halo effect in the sky around the trees works very well. For me, it adds to the eerie mood of the graveyard and gothic house.

This is a gorgeous but somber picture. Love the composition and mood - I do feel most humbug at the moment.

Oh this works soooo well!! The graves give it an air of mystery and definitely eeriness. Great processing -- you are rocking these HDR shots! Thanks for your comments and my sincere apologies for how behind I've gotten!! Happy holidays -- wishing you the best for the season!
