As we drove past the landfill site today the air was full of birds - thousands of them. Mostly seagulls but there were also lots of red kites. I didn't have my camera so as soon as I got home I grabbed the camera and went back. This kite was soaring on the thermals - no wing movement needed!! On the landfill there were loud bangs every now and then to scare the birds which was why there were so many in the air. fav Paml when i was driving the other Day it was typical we saw two red tail Kites on our way to Berkshire and as you can guess no where to pull up to get the camera out and like your photo they were quite low
